Kay Olnhausen Burbick 1935-2026

Kay was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles Ramsey and Grace Brook Olnhausen. She was a 1953 graduate of New Waterford High School and graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance in 1957. Kay married Robert Burbick on Aug. 8, 1958. She taught fourth and fifth grade at Market Street Elementary School in Boardman. Kay also worked at Burbick Carriage Works.

Kay’s life was defined by her devotion to First United Methodist Church and her love of God. Her similar devotion to her husband and son was central to her life. Kay enjoyed spending time with her immediate family and placed their needs above her own.

Kay leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robert Ramsey Burbick; and brothers, Charles B. Olnhausen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and James R. Olnhausen of New York, New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Robert Burbick, who passed away March 11, 2019.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, with Pastor Cyndi Midlick officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at 3:00 p.m., at the church.
