POLAND -- Jeffrey J. Moorhead passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jeffrey was born Oct. 3, 1956, a son of Robert E. and Lois Riddle Moorhead.
He was a lifelong resident of Youngstown, where he worked as a carpenter, an advocate for children and as a property manager.
In February 1977, he married Michelle Tobias, his high school sweetheart. They were forever in love and spent their lives building and raising a loving family.
Jeffrey leaves his wife, Michelle; his sons, Jeremy (Gina) Moorhead of Sykesville, Maryland, and Joshua Moorhead of Fort Worth, Texas; his daughter, Myriah (Evan) Moorhead-Kegel of Sewickley, Pa.; his sister, Suzanne (Howard) Hallas of Ashtabula; and sisters-in-law, Jody Moorhead of Houston, Texas, and Debbie Smith of Tallmadge. He leaves behind eight grandchildren: Maribelle, Luciana, Gemma, Gracelynn, Emarie, Layla, Raphael and Laurel. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a great-great niece, along with sisters and brothers-in-law -- all of whom he cherished.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William and Jim, who was his identical twin. Jeffrey was looking forward to reuniting with them.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Ohio Living Hospice for the compassionate care Jeffrey received over the last several months.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown 44507. Afterward, there will be a luncheon and celebration of Jeff's life at the St. Dominic Parish Center.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
