He earned his medical degree from Far Eastern University in the Philippines before coming to Youngstown, where he continued his medical training at the former Northside Hospital.

Tony dedicated more than three decades to caring for patients as a physician specializing in anesthesiology. He practiced with Bel-Park Associates in Youngstown and also served at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital before retiring in 2007.

Tony found great joy in traveling, especially his trips to Myrtle Beach and Disney cruises. An avid reader, he was also a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He looked forward to gathering with his longtime “gourmet” dining group to share meals, laughter and friendship. Tony also had a passion for dancing and spent many years as a competitive ballroom dancer, earning numerous awards throughout the years. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family.

Tony leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife of 49 years, the former Anita Jaworski, whom he married May 1, 1977; his three children, David (Amy) Gestosani of Powell, Joshua (Katie) Gestosani of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, and Vanessa (Tom) Reynolds of Waterville; six grandchildren, Sophie, Ella, Scarlett, Adeline, Jack and Leon; his brother, Salvatore (Pauline) Gestosani of Guimbal, Philippines; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
