Patricia S. Campolito 1945-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Patricia S. Bakes Campolito passed away peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia, daughter of George and Susan Bakes, was born Dec. 29, 1945, in Youngstown.
She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
Upon graduation, Patricia worked at Ohio Bell where she met the love of her life, John.
She enjoyed watching soap operas, listening to her favorite artist, Johnny Mathis, and baking delicious homemade cookies — especially her irresistible clothespin cookies.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. Patricia enjoyed family vacations, gatherings and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows St. Matthias Parish and found comfort and strength in her faith throughout her life.
Patricia will always be remembered lovingly by her children, Julie (John) Slike and John (Angie) Campolito Jr.; her grandchildren, Alexis, Johnny and Nick Slike, and Antonio and Rachel Campolito; brothers George and Raymond Bakes; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Campolito and brother, Robert Bakes.
Family and friends may gather for a Mass of Repose of the Soul 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who offered love, support and compassion during this difficult time.
