Patricia E. Hephner 1948-2026

She was born Nov. 30, 1948, in Farrell, Pa., a daughter of Andrew and Margaret Badis Kovach, and had lived most of her life in the area.

She was a 1966 graduate of Farrel High School and Cheena’s Beauty School in Sharon.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown. Patty had also served as PTA president for Austintown Schools and volunteered for numerous organizations in the community.

Besides her husband, Mark Hephner, whom she married Feb. 24, 1973, she leaves her daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Hanna of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her Aunt Tootie; and her grandpuppies, Koda Bear, Zoey Mae and Henry.

Besides her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her son, Joshua; her sisters, Deborah Madden and Linda Kovach; and her brother, Jeffrey Kovach.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home in Austintown.

A private service will take place Wednesday.

Patty will be laid to rest with her son in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staff at both St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown and the Boardman campus, as well as the staff at Windsor House, for the excellent care Patty received.
