Patricia A. Herman 1955-2026

She was born Aug. 18, 1955, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Catherine McCarthy Welsh, the first of five children.

Patricia Welsh married her husband and soulmate in August 1981. Together they shared 25 years of marriage and wonderful memories until his passing in 2006.

She was a stay-at-home mom until her kids could drive and went to work for Phar-Mor, Neil Kennedy Recovery Center and Youngstown Hearing and Speech.

She was a very outspoken woman who loved collecting sea glass from the beach. She really enjoyed attending her grandkids’ soccer games. Her greatest joy was found in her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Amanda Jo, her son-in-law, Dave Potkonicky and their children, Jackson and Blake; her son, Joseph, his wife, Christie, and their children, Joseph and Madison; her brother, Tom (Connie), and her nephew, Travis and his wife, Heidi, and Dustin and his fiancee, Erin; as well as her aunts, Christine Sell of Indiana and Dorothy Trimble of Struthers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, grandparents, in-laws and three brothers, Dennis Michael, Timothy James and Raymond Peter.

In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She will be laid to rest with her husband in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
