Pamela Dorman 1950-2026
CANFIELD — Pamela Dorman, 75, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Briarfield Place, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Pamela was born June 19, 1950, in Youngstown, to Walter Snyder and Martha Griffiths Snyder. She graduated from Canfield High School and later earned her degree from Youngstown State University.
Pamela dedicated 25 years of service to Salem Community Hospital, where she worked as a social worker and case manager. She enjoyed traveling, cruising, golfing, biking and spending winters at her home in Venice, Florida.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, William Dorman; her son, Bill (Robin) Dorman; her sister, Cheryl Astern; her grandchildren, Taylor Dorman, Hunter (Josh) Langenheim and Cody Dorman; her great-granddaughter, Ryann Langenheim; her stepgrandson, Ryan Reiner; and several nieces and nephews, especially Martha (Rick) Kane.
Because of her enormous heart and generous spirit, Pamela is also survived by many others whom she considered family, including Candi Kominak, Lana VanAuker, and Linda and Jim Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Shawn Dorman; and her sister, Lea Fink.
In accordance with Pamela’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
Pamela will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and unwavering love for family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
