Dolores J. Haladay 1933-2026
BOARDMAN — Dolores “Dolly” J. Haladay, 92, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Dolores was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Campbell, a daughter of the late John and Helen Repy Janecko, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and worked for Lombard Corp. and the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp. She later enjoyed a career as a real estate agent with Howard Hanna.
Dolly was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Church. She enjoyed cooking, watching classic movies and, in her younger years, dancing at Idora Park, where she met her future husband.
She was an active member of the Applewood Acres Swim Club, Golf League and Garden Club, as well as the Oak Ridge Bridge Club. Dolly especially enjoyed playing cards and cherished the friendships she made through the many clubs and organizations she belonged to.
Dolly is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Donald P. Haladay, whom she married Jan. 28, 1956; her goddaughters, Linda (Bill) McDonough, Diane (Ron) Fimognari and Cynthia Vuksta; her nieces and nephews, Patty (Harold) Osoff, Marilyn Gordon, Barbara Corbett, David (Janet) Haladay, Jane Haladay, Timothy Haladay and Greg Haladay; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman.
Private interment will take place in St. John Cemetery in Lowellville.
