Dean A. Bushling 1972-2026

CANFIELD — Dean A. Bushling, a devoted family man and hardworking individual, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital after becoming ill at home. Born Oct. 26, 1972, in Youngstown, Dean’s life was marked by dedication, both to his work and to the people he loved.

Dean grew up in the Youngstown area and was a proud graduate of Girard High School, having also attended Austintown Fitch High School earlier in his education. During his high school years, he was an active athlete, wrestling and playing football for both schools. His tenacity and skill on the wrestling mat took him all the way to the championship rounds while at Girard, earning him respect among his peers and coaches alike.

He spent 27 years working as a finisher for Camuso Concrete, a family enterprise, where he was employed by his grandfather and Uncle George. Dean’s commitment to his craft was evident in the quality and care he brought to this role. Beyond the family business, he also served his community through positions at Homeland Security and the Community Corrections Association on Market Street, contributing to public safety and justice efforts.

Those who knew Dean fondly remember his artistic talents, his love of cooking and his strong work ethic. He enjoyed leisure activities such as playing cards, playing the slots and visiting casinos, and passionately rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, embodying a spirit of both creativity and camaraderie.

Dean is lovingly remembered by his mother, Marie Camuso (Kyle) Hensley, and daughters, Grace Marie, Ava Nicole and Claire Elizabeth, who were a central part of his life and legacy. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony (Amber) Taylor of Austintown. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of these cherished family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Allen Bushling, and his grandparents, Jean and Anthony Camuso, and Winifred and John Bushling, to whom he was deeply connected throughout his life.

Arrangements for Dean A. Bushling are entrusted to the McCauley Funeral Home, an establishment proudly serving the community for 124 years. The family will receive relatives and friends 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the funeral home.
