Daniel T. Nichol 1950-2026
BERLIN CENTER — Daniel T. “Pirate” Nichol, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of the late Leonard Nichol and Nancy Moses Erboe.
Dan was a proud veteran of the United States Army, stationed in Panama. He established his own business, Pirate Marine Boat Trailers, where he retired after 25 dedicated years. His business even sponsored ARCA truck racing. He loved motorcycles, boating with friends and fishing.
Daniel raced cars, but his greatest love was classic cars. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida as a snowbird. Daniel was always working on something.
Left to cherish his memory are his fiancee, Jodi Senka; his siblings, Kim (Ed Simon) Cavanaugh, Shelley Bugus, Kevin Nichol and Jody Nichol; his stepsister, Betty Stamm; his lifelong friend, Frank Cika; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmom, Barbara Nichol.
Family and friends may pay their respects 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, and 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH 44515.
Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Austintown Chapel. Arrangements for Mr. Nichol are being provided by the Lane Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH 44515.
