Carol Ann Sirohman 1940-2026

PADUCAH, Ky. — Carol Ann Sirohman, 85, formerly of Highland Avenue, Poland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Franklin, Pa., a daughter to the late Alice Gould. She moved to the Mahoning Valley as a child and made the area her home for many years.

Carol worked for JCPenney at Southern Park Mall for more than 25 years, serving in both the restaurant and stockroom before retiring.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Carol found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed embroidery, was a passionate advocate for voting rights and had a special love for dogs.

Carol attended the former St. Matthias Church in Youngstown, where she faithfully served as a Eucharistic minister and lector. She was also an active member of several card clubs and a recipe club, enjoying the friendships and fellowship they provided.

In 2020, Carol moved to Kentucky to be closer to her children, first living in Louisville for several years and then transitioning to Paducah in 2023.

Besides her mother, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Joseph S. Sirohman, whom she married Aug. 26, 1961, and who died Aug. 2, 2010.

Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her two sons, Anthony “Tony” (Julie) Sirohman of Lowellville, Kentucky, and Michael (MaryJo) Sirohman of Louisville, Ohio; two daughters, Theresa “Terri” (Gersh) Lundberg of Paducah, Kentucky, and Janie (Jeff) Beal of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; and her 13 grandchildren, Katie (Zack) Ewing, Joe Sirohman, Mitch (Madi) Sirohman, Rachel (Elizabeth) Lundberg, Josh (Katya) Lundberg, Aaron Lundberg, Amelie Lundberg, Daniel Lundberg, Justina Sirohman, Nick Sirohman, Anna Sirohman, Justice (Alex) Beal and Jackson Beal.

Friends and family may call 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland.

A funeral service celebrating Carol’s life will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Poland Riverside Cemetery in Poland.
