Thomas E. Secrest 1953-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Thomas E. Secrest, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley-Liberty.
He was born July 9, 1953, in Salem, a son of Harold Secrest and Marjorie “Jane” Fitzpatrick Secrest.
He was a 1971 graduate of Salem High School. He dedicated over 40 years as a parts manager at Ray Gollan’s Honda.
Tom was affectionately referred to as “Grunt” by many of his friends. He loved the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing, and cherished riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed Western movies. Tom loved sitting outside and sharing memorable trips to Myrtle Beach with his loved ones. He was also a member of the Salem Hunting Club and the Western Reserve Motorcycle Club.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Lindsay (Billy Hart) Secrest of Hubbard; his son, Justin (Chalee) Secrest of Mineral Ridge; sister, Amy (Dan) Bailey of Salem; and two grandchildren, Cade and Gavin Secrest.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen, and his brother, Tim.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
