Paul T. Malloy 1943-2026
CANFIELD — Paul Thomas Malloy, 83, passed away peacefully Monday, May 11, 2026, at his home.
Paul, affectionately known as Tom, was born Jan. 17, 1943, in Cleveland, a son of the late William Malloy and Blanche Phillips Malloy.
A graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1960, Tom furthered his education at Youngstown State University.
He served in the National Guard.
Tom devoted his professional life to the field of insurance, where he enjoyed a successful career with Prudential as a chartered life underwriter.
Tom was an active member of the Millcreek Kiwanis Club and held the honor of president at the Salem Hills Golf Club for several years. His affiliation with the Cambium Club and participation in the Romeos (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club brought him joy, as he cherished the camaraderie of his friends.
Tom was a passionate boater, fisherman and golfer who enjoyed being outdoors. His role as a commander of the power squadron showed his love for boating, which he shared with friends and family. He frequently visited the Catawba Island Country Club, creating wonderful memories on the water.
Tom had a passion for life that included enjoying tasty meals, either cooking them himself or sharing them with family and friends. He loved games and found happiness in playing slot machines and poker.
Tom is survived by his wife, the former Diane McArthur; daughter, Jennifer Perrot of Struthers; sister, Mary Lou (Pat) Malloy of Canfield; and nephew, Michael (Nancy) Fairburn of Girard.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
Prior to the service, calling hours will take place at 10 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Angels for Animals or to Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
