Mark D. Scheetz 1955-2026

Born on Sept. 15, 1955, in Youngstown, he was a son of the late Donald Leo and Lola Marie Collier Scheetz.

Mark was a proud graduate of Chaney High School, class of 1974, where he fostered enduring friendships with his classmates that lasted throughout his life.

Mark dedicated many years to his career as a proud member of the Steel Workers Union. His commitment to hard work extended beyond the workplace, as he took great pride in his home and meticulously maintained his yard.

A true enthusiast, Mark was an avid Cleveland Browns fan — his loyalty unwavering through every season. Beyond sports, Mark found joy in playing his guitar.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Alicia Wormley of Niles; his granddaughters, Alexandria and Savannah Wormley; and three cousins.

He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Lynn M. Courtney Royer Scheetz, whom he married Aug. 17, 2015, and who passed away April 7, 2022; and his brother, Donald Karl Scheetz.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Avenue. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m.
