Judy G. Gonzales 1938-2026

She was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Merrill and Edith Helt Moyer.

Judy Moyer married Alberto Gonzales on Sept. 29, 1956. Together they shared almost 52 years of marriage and wonderful memories.

She was a wonderful homemaker who loved sewing and reading. She enjoyed making meals and baking desserts for her family and spent her time gardening. Her memory was so sharp; she used to remember everything, especially telling stories about raising her children on a military base when Alberto was in the United States Air Force. However, Judy’s greatest joy was taking care of her grandkids and attending their sporting events.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Frank (Maria) Gonzales, Albert Gonzales and Lydia Gonzales; grandchildren, Sule (Ron) Marinelli, Lysette (John) Ludt, Jay (Lorena) Gonzalez and Dominique (Zach) Dankovich; great-grandchildren, Geno, Sergio, Jaxson, Layla, Cameron, Eliana and Cooper; and sisters, Nora Vinion and Vanessa Malone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Donna, Nancy, Merrill and Lita.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday May 29, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH, 44515. Family and friends may pay their respects 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
