Eileen H. Beggs 1942-2026

She was born May 3, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Martin and Helen Stumpp Olsen.

Eileen married her husband, Jack L. Beggs Jr., on Jan. 6, 1963; sadly, he passed away April 23, 2019, after celebrating 56 years of marriage.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Eileen was very involved in her community, volunteering at her local library and being a member of the local Newcomers group, holding a leadership position for a lengthy time.

She also worked outside the home at the Dayton Airport and made many friends, as everyone loved her spirit and friendly smile.

Eileen leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Sandra Ellen (Joe) Beggs of Grayslake, Illinois, and Jennifer L. (Les) Beggs of Brooklyn, New York; son, Jack L. (Angela) Beggs III of Boardman; grandchildren, Marykate (Nathan) Knaus, Adam Beggs, Lucas Beggs, Dylan (Jackie) Rutledge and Derek Rutledge (fiance Erin); and her five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service officiated by Deacon Paul Lisko.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Eileen’s family has requested any material tributes be made to the Alzheimer Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 1815 W. Market St., Suite 301, Akron, OH 44313.
