William Wardle 1939-2026

THE VILLAGES, Fla. — William Wardle, 87, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Bill was born in Youngstown and lived a life defined by his dedication to his wife Judy, his family and to helping others. He spent much of his life in Youngstown until they retired to The Villages in 2004.

After graduating from South High School and then Kent State University, he earned his CPA and went into public accounting, initially. Industry came to call, and he spent the rest of his career as a leader in the accounting function of Wean Industries and was known for his pleasant demeanor and true to form – attention to detail.

Bill enjoyed technology and keeping up with all the latest home automation and entertainment systems. A lifelong accountant, he was always abreast of the latest tax code and ever willing to help others navigate it all.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, John and Jay (Meridith); sister, Marty; and grandchildren, Crystal, Courtney, Annika, Eva and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his daughter, Mary Jane.

A celebration of life will be 10 a.m. April 17, at Northlake Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northlake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, Florida.

Bill will be remembered for his unwavering love for family, generosity and quiet strength, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
