William M. Deislinger 1948-2026

Bill was born March 11, 1948, a son of Robert G. and Catherine C. Wilthew Deislinger.

Bill was a graduate of Girard High School and resided in Girard all his life.

He had worked for General Fireproofing until its closure. He then became Girard’s sports photographer for many years and was known affectionately as “Mr. Bill” to all who knew him at the games.

He enjoyed his walks around the block, stopping to talk to his neighbors along the way, fishing and poker games with his friends.

Bill is survived by his brother, Jack Deislinger and his wife, Mary; nephew, Robert Deislinger and his daughter, Caroline; nieces, Anne (Andrew IV) Reinhart and their children, Andrew V and Elliott, and Kathryn (Kevin) Baker and their children, Molly and Connor.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 1, at St. Rose Church.

The family will receive relatives and friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Blackstone Funeral Home.

Bill will be laid to rest in Girard City Cemetery, next to his parents.
