Thomas B. Wagner Jr. 1945-2026
POLAND — Thomas B. “Tim” Wagner Jr., 80, passed away peacefully Friday, April 10, 2026, at Hospice House, with his wife at his side.
He was born July 15, 1945, in Youngstown, a son of the late Dr. Thomas Sr. and Roberta Rook Wagner.
Tim graduated from Poland Seminary High School, Class of 1963. He earned his bachelor’s degree in transportation management from YSU and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
His career began at Youngstown Sheet & Tube as a student engineer, and he worked for several steel companies over the years, including J&L, LTV, Babcock & Wilcox, Alliance Midwest Tubular Products and PTC Alliance.
Tim cherished his family and took great pride in being a loving husband, father and grandfather. His hobbies were anything related to cars, racing, watching Washington Capitals hockey games, working in the yard, cooking something on the grill and enjoying retirement.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, the former Nancy Ann Luginbill, whom he married June 28, 1969; siblings, Theodore (Michelle), Susan (Charles) Hess, Jeffrey (Maryann) and Edith (Gary) Patsko; his sons, Todd and Kristian (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Addison and Tyson; in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His family would like to thank the hospice group at Akeso Health Care and the memory care group of The Inn at Poland Way for their professional and compassionate caregiving.
Friends may call 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, immediately followed by a celebration of his life beginning at 5 p.m.
