Teann J. Scoggins 1952-2026
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. — Teann J. Tomich Scoggins, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, at Roper St. Francis Hospital in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
She was born July 4, 1952, in Youngstown and was a longtime resident of York, Pa., before retiring to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
A graduate of York Catholic High School, Class of 1969, her faith was central to every chapter of her life. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in York, where she also served on the York County Council of Churches. After relocating to Mount Pleasant, she served as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Teann had a gift for bringing people together. Her family Easter brunches were a cherished annual tradition, and her many nieces and nephews, who lovingly knew her as Auntie, were delighted by her annual Easter egg hunt.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Rosenblatt; her daughter, Victoria; her mother, Carmelita Tomich; and her five sisters, Maureen Kurtz, Karen Kurtz, Judy Sierer, Cathy Cutler and Suzanne Murray.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Tomich; her brother, Victor Tomich Jr.; and her sister, Laura Schenker.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) or the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA).
She will be remembered for her radiant spirit, her boundless generosity and her devotion to others. Teann will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
