Robert S. Harris 1967-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Robert Sean Harris, aka “Indian,” 58, sadly passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026.
He was born Nov. 24, 1967, the sixth child born to James and Helen Sanchez Harris, and spent his whole life as a Youngstown West Sider.
Sean was a self-made man, owning his own masonry business. His legacy did not stop there. He was also a proud member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and could make the best wine you ever tasted, with the help of his good buddy, Pete.
He was a Christian who loved the Lord very much.
His passions, other than his faith, were those of the outdoors, especially fishing. His friends and family that knew him all agreed he was a kind soul that would do anything for anyone.
He leaves behind his five siblings to cherish his memory, Bunny Geboe and Shirley Matyi of Austintown, James (Liz) Harris of Canfield, and David Harris and Debra Phillips of Youngstown. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, whom he loved just as much as they loved him, Paul Matyi (Carla DeSantis) of Cuyahoga Falls, Joseph Harris of Akron, Michael Ryan Phillips and Alexis Allison of Florida, Amber Allison of Masury, and Austin Allison and Isiah Allison of Youngstown.
As his lineage goes on, he also leaves behind his two great-nephews and great-niece, CJ Bembry of Masury, Saint Allison of Pennsylvania and Aliyah Allison of Masury. Lastly, but certainly not least, he leaves behind his most loyal fur baby, Coco, his beloved dog whom he would never leave home without. His life and love for his family encompass the generations before and after him, leaving a light that will live on eternally.
Sean was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, James Harris III and Eric Phillips.
Included in our thoughts are his close friends, whose lives will never be the same without him, Nick Conti, John and James McGarry, Jeff Braun, Jim Quinn, Pete Phillips and Joe Matyi.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9 to 11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
Family and friends are encouraged to offer prayers for the family by visiting the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com.
