Michael P. Shea 1941-2026

Michael was born on July 16, 1941, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son to the late John and Julia McGuire Shea.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Michael had worked various jobs, including US Steel, Youngstown Steel Door, Syro Steel and Predator Trucking.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite team, The Ohio State Buckeyes. Michael was a very kind and generous man who was always willing to help anyone out.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Helen Williams Shea, whom he married in 1972; his sister, Peggy Testa; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Barber, Eileen Eusanio and Barbara Baldwin; and brothers, Jack, Thomas and James Shea.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Blackstone Funeral Home, Girard, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., with military honors.
