Margaret J. Serrano 1939-2026

She was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter of William J. and Mildred R. Hickey Morgan and was a lifelong area resident.

Peggy was a graduate of Fitch High School and a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, enjoyed playing cards and going out to eat with her friends, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Her husband, Joseph P. Serrano, whom she married Aug. 17, 1963, died Aug. 16, 2008.

Peggy leaves a son, Joseph W. Serrano of Coitsville; two daughters, Suzanne Esposito of Finleyville, Pa., and Janet (Brian) Segro of Auburn Township; five grandchildren, Dr. Anthony J. (Tim) Esposito, Jessica (Alex) Metzker, Tanner (Julie) Segro, Morgan Segro and Raegan (Stephen) Serrano; and two great grandchildren, Zander and Emrie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; and her brother, William D. “Billy” Morgan.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.

Closing prayers will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Balash officiating.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
