Lynne A. Novisky 1953-2026

Lynne was born on June 28, 1953, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Glenn and Ruth Smith.

She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, where she was the valedictorian of her class. She continued her education at Youngstown State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in education. While studying at YSU, she met the love of her life, John Novisky. After graduation, she attended Westminster College, where she received her master’s degree.

She was a dedicated teacher to her students and taught for many years in the Howland School District.

She had a love of reading, taking walks in the park, especially in Buhl Park, and shopping.

Lynne will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 47 years, John Novisky, whom she married on July 29, 1978; and her brother Ronald (Inna) Smith.

Family and friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 20, at Lane Funeral Homes — Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.

Private burial will take place in Dugan Cemetery, Fowler.
