Lenore White 1928-2026
POLAND — Lenore White passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 98.
She was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of Leonard Tamburro and the former Nancy Gentile.
Lenore, a graduate of South High School in 1946, had a career as an office manager at International Paper for more than 20 years.
She was a dedicated member of Holy Family Church.
A passionate art lover, Lenore spent her time volunteering at The Butler Institute of American Art, where she shared her passion and creativity with others.
Lenore is survived by her caretaker, Lenore LaRubbio, and many nieces and nephews.
She married Donald White on Nov. 25, 1965, and he preceded her in death July 4, 2012.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lenore was preceded in death by her sister, Mable Tamburro; and brothers, Donald, Robert and Leonard Tamburro.
Prayers will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church.
Interment will be in Poland Riverside Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Poland Village for their exceptional care and a special acknowledgment to her devoted caregivers – Nette, Kendra, Stacy, Danielle, Kitty and Rhonda – who provided her with love and attention during her time there.
