Judyth L. Carroll 1942-2026

Born Sept. 8, 1942, in Youngstown, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Eleanor Shaeffer Carroll.

Judy devoted her life to caring for others, particularly children, as a passionate babysitter. She touched the lives of many families and leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of those she loved.

She was a longtime member of Poland United Methodist Church and the Poland Historical Society. Judy’s love for life was evident in her many pastimes, including bowling with the Applewood Early Maidens at Camelot Lanes and the joy she found in playing bingo.

Judy’s family includes her beloved brother, Greg (Jo Marie) Carroll and her three nephews, Christopher (Jen) Carroll, Scott (Hope) Carroll and Ryan (Tara) Carroll. She was also a proud aunt to three great-nephews and four great-nieces.

Judy’s funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel. Calling hours will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
