Joseph W. Revak 1946-2026

GEORGETOWN — Joseph William Revak, known to most as “Joe”, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 79. He was surrounded by loved ones and the amazing caregivers at The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, where he called home for the past few years.

Born Oct. 14, 1946, in Ellwood City, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Peters Revak. Joseph lived a life filled with dedication, warmth and the simple joys that made each day special.

A proud 1964 graduate of Rostraver High School, he lettered in football.

He dedicated 15 years to General Motors before becoming a skilled delivery driver for various businesses until his retirement.

Additionally, Joseph served his country with honor in the United States Army.

Joseph was defined by more than his work; he was a man of many passions. He found solace in the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and nurturing his garden. He delighted in the simplicity of paint by numbers. Above all, Joe cherished time spent with children, always eager to share his laughter and wisdom.

Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Revak; son, Aaron Revak (Renee Rolfe); sister, Priscilla (Ralph) Boyd; and brother, Richard (Ann) Revak; and his former wife and friend, Saundra White Revak.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Revak; his son, William Revak; daughter-in-law, Lynn Revak and his grandson, Nicholas Revak.

Funeral services for Joe will take place 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave., with calling hours 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
