Herbert N. Householder 1944-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Herbert N. Householder, 82, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle.
Herbert was born Aug. 14, 1944, in East Liverpool, a son of the late Harold and Hazel Grafton Householder.
He was a graduate of Stanton Local High School in Hammondsville and worked as a meat cutter and butcher at various local supermarkets. He also worked as a handyman at a mobile home park in California, where he resided with his wife for many years before returning to Ohio.
A true “jack of all trades,” Herbert enjoyed golfing, hunting and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians. In his younger years, he also enjoyed playing softball.
Herbert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 42 years, Donna Klingel Householder; two sons, Harvey (Melissa) Householder and Albert Householder; two stepsons, Michael Ifft and Stephen (Leah) Ifft; a sister, Hanna Starcher; and two brothers, Nelson (Donna) Householder and Howard (the late Linda) Householder.
In keeping with Herbert’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
