Donald Piecuch 1947-2026

He was born on Jan. 26, 1947, in Youngstown, a son of the late Edward and Rose Hill Piecuch.

Donald Piecuch married Bernice Stanislaw on June 18, 2003, in Hawaii. Together, they shared many years of marriage and wonderful memories.

He was a 1964 graduate of Girard High School.

Don went on to serve in the United States Army. Afterward, he retired as a machinist.

Flying his ultra-light plane brought him great pride and joy. Donald loved to decorate his yard with flamingos, which gave the neighborhood great entertainment and fun. His Volkswagen, decorated with many polka dots and flirty eyelashes, had him on the road, free, driving with joy. Don was an automobile aficionado.

Ballroom dancing and gardening with his wife, Bernice, were his favorite pastimes. Family and friends were one of his greatest joys.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving spouse, Bernice Piecuch; two daughters; one son; one stepdaughter; one stepson; four grandsons; one granddaughter; two sisters; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH, 44515.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Resurrection Cemetery.
