David P. Lavezzare 1957-2026

He was born Nov. 22, 1957, in Youngstown, a son of Peter and Madalene Brody Lavezzare.

David was a 1975 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a diesel mechanic for R&R Mack Trucks in Akron for 35 years, retiring in 2024.

He married the former Goldie Ann Kimmel on May 15, 1987. Together they shared 33 years of marriage and many happy memories. She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 2021.

David enjoyed tinkering around in his garage and fixing just about anything. He also loved to ride his motorcycle. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his two children, David Lavezzare of Warren and Rebecca (Perry Colbert) Lavezzare of North Jackson; a brother, Joseph (Debbie) Lavezzare of North Jackson; and three sisters, Karen (John) Kohut of Oklahoma, Linda Rembowski of Austintown and Sandra Lavezzare of North Jackson.

Besides his wife, David was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
