Carole Pompeii 1938-2026
NORTH OLMSTED — Carole Pompeii, 87, died Friday morning, March 27, 2026, at home with her family.
She was born Aug. 28, 1938, in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelen O’Malley.
Carole was preceded in death by her two siblings, Kathleen Hoole and Thomas O’Malley; her daughter-in-law, Karen Pompeii; and her grandchild, Sean Pompeii.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Pompeii; five children, John (Yolanda) Pompeii, Mark (Francis) Pompeii, Matthew Pompeii, Thomas Pompeii (Sherrie Gardner) and Lisa (Eric) Pompeii-Williams; 11 grandchildren, Amber, Jack, Justin, Tyler, Sarah, Tony, Bryan, Everett, Camile, Celeste and Sophia; and eight great-grandchildren, Francis, Hattie, Maximus, Luca, Robin, Celene, Alice and Anya.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Berry-McGreevey Funeral Home, 26691 Detroit Road, Westlake, OH 44145, with a memorial service noon to 1 p.m.
The family would like to recognize, honor and express our sincere gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at Cleveland Clinic Hospice, as well as all of Carole’s outside caregivers.
