Carole J. Parisi 1944-2026

GIRARD — Carole Jean Frederick Parisi, 81, passed away peacefully Friday, April 17, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley.

Carole was born May 30, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter to the late Michael and Olga DiThomas Frederick.

She grew up in Girard (Brier Hill) and Youngstown and was a 1962 graduate of South High School.

Carole helped create and was the administrative assistant of the Ohio Boxing Commission in the early ’80s, under the supervision of her boss and close friend, Blackie Gennaro. She enjoyed her position for many years and enjoyed meeting many professionals in the boxing world.

After her retirement, she worked part-time for podiatrist Dr. Edward Costentino of Girard.

Carole had a deep love for animals and supported many animal organizations.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Cari (Donald) King of Vienna and Michelle Raymond of Girard; grandchildren, Brian Koniowsky, Nicole Stull, Paige Goodman, Tommy Raymond, Raelyn Raymond and Alina King; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Stull, Mia King and Demi Davies; niece, Mary Jo Hennesy; and great-nephew, Joseph Hawkins.

Along with her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Hawkin; granddaughter, Alexa Goodman; and her dog, Sky, who was her closest companion.

The family will receive relatives and friends 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.

Carole will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
