AUSTINTOWN — Betty J. Stockman, 76, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at her residence.
Betty was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Bellaire, the daughter of Joseph and Betty Jean Secrest Sztary.
She was a proud graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1968.
Betty dedicated 31 years of her career as a telemarketer with InfoCision, where she formed many lasting friendships.
She was a devoted member of Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where her faith was central to her life.
Betty had a deep love for teaching children about God, faith, and the importance of family. Throughout the years, Betty was actively involved in various sporting activities and organizations, including the Girl Scouts, always supporting her children and grandchildren in their pursuits. She was known as a devoted “sideline sports grandma,” and her enthusiasm, along with her willingness to help with bake sales and community activities, was truly unmatched. Betty’s warm and welcoming spirit made her a grandmother figure to everyone she met.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James C. Stockman, whom she married July 27, 1985, as well as by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, David Lee Porter of Coral Springs, Florida, Nina Marie (Matthew) Hostetler of Niles and Jonathan Bryon (Teresa) Stockman of Boardman; her brother, Larry (Diane) Sztary of Austintown; her sister, Alayne Weber of Holgate; and her cherished grandchildren, Justin, Madison, Carter, Avery Jo, Jameson and Hudson.
