AUSTINTOWN — Zoe Alice Brown Ambrosio, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley-Howland, following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 29, 1936, in Warren to Zoe Katherine Brown and Walter E. Brown, she led a life marked by dedication, elegance and love for her family and community.

A proud graduate of The Rayen School, Zoe distinguished herself not only through her academic achievements but also as a talented model, an accomplishment she cherished deeply throughout her life. Her impeccable style and fashionable demeanor were admired by many, reflecting her vibrant personality and keen eye for beauty.

Professionally, Zoe’s career spanned several roles that allowed her to engage warmly with those around her. Early in her marriage, she made all the pies for the Venetian Garden restaurant, which was owned by her husband’s family. She was also a devoted receptionist for 20 years for Dr. S. Goldberg, both in Youngstown. Zoe then worked for Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden and Clinique, retiring at 62, bringing a personal touch and expertise to her customers’ experiences.

Zoe’s interests included the simple yet meticulous hobby of ironing, through which she expressed her attention to detail and care in everyday life. Her warmth and dedication extended beyond her work and hobbies into her cherished religious life. She was a devoted member of St. Michael Church in Canfield.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Wendy); her daughter, Heidi (Calleen); her granddaughter, Khristen (Ryan); grandson, Justin (Jennifer); along with six great-grandsons who brought her immense joy and pride. Zoe’s family was the cornerstone of her life, and her legacy of love and kindness will endure through them.

Zoe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dominic, to whom she was married from Dec. 29, 1956, until his passing on April 29, 2018; her brothers, Paul and Raymond; and her sister, Katherine. The loss of these family members was deeply felt, yet Zoe’s life was a testament to resilience and enduring affection.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Schiavone Funeral Home, 1842 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, followed by a prayer service officiated by Deacon Bill Bancroft.
