Sally J. Dunlap 1940-2026
AUSTINTOWN — Sally J. Dunlap, 86, passed away Monday morning, March 16, 2026, at Windsor House at Omni Manor Health Care Center in Youngstown.
She was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Carrier Mills, Illinois, a daughter of the late Daniel H. and Delsie M. Brown Pruett.
Sally married William H. Dunlap on May 6, 1957, and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. Together she and Bill shared 65 years of marriage and many happy memories. He preceded her in death Feb. 18, 2023.
She was a member of Youngstown Grace Church in Austintown.
She enjoyed crafts and watching her favorite TV shows. Sally had a helping nature and would do anything she could for anyone, especially those in need. She was a kind, loving, generous wife, mother, and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sally is survived by two daughters, Tina (Lou) Colucci of Austintown and Jayne (Jim) Black of Stevens, Pa. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Dan (Tina) Colucci, Phil (Cara) Colucci, Courtney (Simone) Davila, Derek Black and Sean (Karissa) Black; and eight great-grandchildren: Gino, Nico, Mila, Everett, Maxwell, Scarlett, Silas and Gabriel.
Besides her husband and parents, Sally was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lynn Marie, three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, at Youngstown Grace Church, 5253 W. Webb Road, Austintown, with Pastor Nate Laughhun officiating.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Youngstown Grace Church, 5253 W. Webb Road, Austintown, OH 44515, in Sally’s memory.
Sally’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Windsor House at Omni Manor for all of the kind, compassionate care they gave to her.
