Michael Martuccio 1967-2026

Michael Martuccio

HOWLAND — Dr. Michael Martuccio, D.C., 58, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Warren.

Michael was born May 30, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Dr. James and Louise Martuccio.

He was a graduate of Kiski Prep School, after which he attended Kent State University. He received his chiropractic degree from Life College in Atlanta, Georgia, in June 1993.

Michael enjoyed family trips and loved Nags Head, North Carolina, where he dreamed of retiring one day with Beth. He was an avid toy collector and loved to watch old Westerns whenever he could. He ran the very popular Avon Inn in Girard during college breaks.

Upon moving to Girard, he started his chiropractic office, eventually settling in Howland. Michael was on the Girard Library Board of Directors and was an active member of a bourbon club with his friends.

His laughable sense of humor and hilarious storytelling will live on in all who knew him. He was the heart and joy of the family, where he was deeply loved.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Martuccio.

He is survived by the love of his life, Elizabeth Lohry; father, Dr. James V. Martuccio Sr. of Warren; siblings, Dr. James (Pam) Martuccio Jr. of Warren, Dr. Sheryl (Dr. Kevin) Hallgarth of Hudson and Ann (Hung) Ma of Twinsburg; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

Michael’s family honored him in a private ceremony led by his dear friend, the Rev. John Welch, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael’s name to Tunnels for Towers at t2t.org.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be at noon Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Mary Byzantine Church Social Hall, 356 South Belle Vista Drive, Youngstown. All family and friends are welcome.
