Mary Lou Gaida 1945-2026
CAMPBELL — Mary Lou Gaida, age 81, of Campbell, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026.
She was born Feb. 7, 1945.
A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for those she cherished most. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort and unwavering love — a reflection of the woman she was.
Mary Lou was the beloved wife of Gary V. Gaida, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories until his passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Fantone; her brother Jim Fantone; her husband Gary V. Gaida; and her two sons, Gary Gaida and Anthony Gaida.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Victoria “Vicki” Gaida, who was her constant source of pride and companionship. Mary Lou also leaves her sister, Eleanor Hardy; and her brothers, Ron and Bill Fantone. Her love continues through her cherished grandchildren, Amir, Leala, Nadea and Adam Hasan, as well as her four adored great-granddaughters, Lilyanna, Lujaine, Reem and Sareena.
Mary Lou was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-granddaughters, who were truly the light of her life. She especially treasured the laughter and energy they brought into her home. Even her granddaughter’s beloved dog, Taco, held a special place in her heart and never failed to bring a smile to her face.
Mema’s love was steady, selfless, and unconditional. She leaves behind a family grounded in the values she lived every day — devotion, kindness, and the importance of family above all else. Her memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Calling hours will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, Ohio 44471. Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery.
