Loomis R. Conti Jr. 1936-2026
LOWELLVILLE — Loomis Roger Conti Jr. entered into rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Lou was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Conti; his parents, Loomie and Mary Conti; and a sister, Joanne D’Onofrio.
Survivors include five nephews and one niece and their spouses, Joseph D’Onofrio of Orlando, Florida, David (Dena) D’Onofrio of Warner Robins, Georgia, Marianne Harlan of Marietta, Georgia, Rick (Terri) D’Onofrio of New Port Richey, Florida, John (Leah) D’Onofrio of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bryan (Darci) D’Onofrio of Wesley Chapel, Florida; and 10 grand-nephews and grand-nieces, David D’Onofrio, Natasha (Ricky) DiMaggio, Christina (David) D’Onofrio, Maddie (Kyle) Jurek, Will Harlan, Jen (Kyle) Yelton, Josh (Yami) D’Onofrio, Cara (Fernando) D’Onofrio, Zach D’Onofrio and Taylor D’Onofrio.
He is also survived by stepchildren, John (Donna) Jimmy and David (Doreen) Ferenczy; grandchildren, Lyndsay Montgomery, Jaclyn Sletvold, Laura Sarah and Ryan Ferenczy; and daughter-in-law, Linda Beck.
Lou was a plumber by profession and could often be found playing bocce, at Belleria’s restaurant or at church. He never missed a wedding, graduation or celebration of his extended family and friends, often surprising his family with boxes of Gorant melt-away chocolates.
Lou will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 131 E. Wood St., Lowellville, with Father Thomas Kraszewski officiating.
Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family after the service at the Holy Rosary Education Center
