James J. Matricardi Sr. 1935-2026

James was born Dec. 30, 1935, in Edinburg, Pa., a son of the late Samuel Matricardi and Angeline Rotz Matricardi.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville and worked for Steel Door and Falcon Foundry.

James leaves his children, Jane Pavlicko (John), James Matricardi Jr. (Janice) and Jill Schroeder (Bradley); grandchildren, James J. (Bun) Matricardi III, Joseph Matricardi, Ryan Pavlicko (Laura), Jason Pavlicko, Jeren Schroeder, Brandon Schroeder and Justin Schroeder; and great-grandchildren, Elia Matricardi and Sofia Matricardi.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Peggie Matricardi, whom he married July 1, 1960, and who passed Oct. 29 2005. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Petrock, Patsy Petrock, Johnny Matricardi, Lawrence Matricardi, Frederick Matricardi, Samuel Matricardi, Gina Scavnicky and Donald Matricardi.

A private family service will be held at St. John’s.
