Glenn L. Jackson 1933-2026
AUSTINTOWN — Glenn L. Jackson, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 23, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Glenn was born Aug. 16, 1933, in Meyersdale, Pa., a son of the late James and Eva Mae Yutzy Jackson, and came to the Youngstown area in 1957.
He began working at a young age, assisting his uncle from 1949 to 1951 in the coal mines, a sawmill and at Barton’s Dairy, all in Pinto, Maryland. From 1957 to 1989, Glenn was employed by Sun Oil Co. on Southern Boulevard, where he worked as a dispatcher and in the warehouse. He later worked for Marathon Oil on Bears Den Road from 1990 to 1992. In addition, Glenn dedicated many years as a bus driver for Austintown Local Schools from 1968 until his retirement in 1999.
Glenn was a member of Austintown First Free Will Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the National Guard from 1953 to 1956.
Glenn leaves to forever cherish his memory, his two daughters, Sheryl Cox (Richard) of Canfield and Annette Paskevitch of Utah; five grandchildren, Justin Cox of Youngstown, Corey Cox (Jessica) of Youngstown, Glenn Paskevitch (Shaya) of Oklahoma, Danielle Paskevitch (James) and Jessica Paskevitch, both of Utah; two great-grandchildren, Avery Rose of Youngstown and Elijah of Oklahoma; his brother, James L. Jackson (Karen) of Salem; his sister, Mary Alice Mankameyer (Clay) of New Friedens, Pa.; eight nieces and nephews; and several extended family members.
His wife of 66 years, Beverly J. Muir Jackson, whom he married March 31, 1956, passed away Aug. 4, 2022. A brother, Dalton Jackson and his wife, Shirley, also preceded Glenn in death.
Family and friends may call noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.
Private interment will take place in Brunstetter Cemetery in Austintown, where Glenn will be laid to rest beside his beloved Beverly.
