Georgia L. Streamo 1944-2026
GIRARD — Georgia L. Streamo, 81, of Girard, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by friends and family.
She was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Youngstown, to George and Margaret Levero Pagano. Georgia graduated in 1962 from Niles McKinley High School and briefly attended Trumbull Business College.
From there, she went on to work at Shepard and Morse lumberyard in Austintown. In later years, she also worked part-time at her brother’s Subway sandwich shop and tobacco store. Ultimately, she found her most rewarding occupation as that of a homemaker, spouse, mother and grandmother.
She married her husband, Donald R. Streamo, on Aug. 20, 1966, and shared a beautiful life with him until his death April 17, 2008.
She was a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.
Georgia enjoyed casino trips, bowling, bingo, yard work, dining out, family gatherings, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and functions, especially her grandson’s baseball games.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Margaret “Maggie” Streamo of Girard, Donnie Streamo of Girard and Christopher (Patty) Streamo of Niles; a brother, Mathew Pagano of Niles; and three grandchildren, Emma Fusselman, Jordon Streamo and Angela Thompson. She also leaves behind her faithful canine companion, Quinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Christine Marie Streamo; and her sister-in-law, Dawn Pagano.
Per her wishes and the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.
Family and friends are invited to attend a brief service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home, 457 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH 44446. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery in Niles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, 909 Martin Luther King Blvd. SW, Warren, OH 44485.
