Francis Stanley Barry 1933-2026
LOWELLVILLE — Francis Stanley Barry, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hospice House in Poland.
Francis was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Youngstown, a son of Stanley and Estelle Adazwic Barry.
He was a member of the U.S. Army.
Francis married the love of his life, the former Bernadine Badurik, on Nov. 19, 1960, and they shared 64 years of marriage until her passing on April 28, 2024.
Francis worked as a plumber and steamfitter and was a member of Local 87.
Francis was a parishioner of Christ Our Savior Parish-Holy Trinity Church in Struthers.
He was a member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, Men’s Club, Muscle Club and Knights of Columbus at Holy Trinity.
Francis enjoyed fishing, carpentry and gardening. He was a beekeeper and also raised chickens.
Francis will be deeply missed and always remembered by his sons, Stanley (Ellen) Barry of Philadelphia, Pa., David (Jamie) Barry of Columbus and Dr. Christopher (Robin) Barry of Arcadia, Oklahoma; his daughter, Marianne (Andy) Guidos of Hudson; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernadine; and his brothers, Norbert and Richard Barry.
The Barry family has entrusted Francis’ care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, where calling hours will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, with prayers at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Our Savior Parish-Holy Trinity Church in Struthers.
Francis will be laid to rest next to his wife in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
