Carol Reedy 1942-2026
POLAND — Carol Baker Reedy, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Carol was born Oct. 2, 1942. She was a graduate of Poland High School and went on to attend an art and design school, where she earned her certification in art.
She worked as a secretary / office manager at Campbell Electric until she retired.
She was a member of Yellow Creek United Methodist Church.
Carol cherished time spent with her family, and Christmas was her favorite holiday. There were many Aut Mori Grotto events that she looked forward to with her late husband, Herky.
She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including sewing, bowling, crocheting, cross stitching and playing games on her tablet. She always welcomed friends and family with a bright beaming smile and open arms.
Carol is survived by her loving daughters, Kim A. Morrison of Youngstown, whom she lived with, and Margaret Porter (Keith Kanas) of Poland; son, Scott Morrison of Cleveland; brother, Gary (Louisa) Baker; three grandchildren, Kelly, Erin and Mathew Morrison; stepgranddaughter, Heather Shiminsky; stepgrandson, Michael (Heather Wasson) Shiminsky; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Asher and Zenon Shiminsky. In addition, she loved and became family to Anthony Plummer, Jason Stilson, Halie Stilson and John Stilson; her beloved great-grandson Samuel Horvath Jr., and many nieces and nephews. She also cherished the Scanlon and Rossi families.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Baker; father, Marion Baker; brother, Coe Baker; stepmother, Josephine Baker; son, Mark Morrison; son-in-law, Eric Porter; grandson, Ryan Porter; first husband, Jerry E. Morrison; husband, Clair Reedy; stepdaughter, Jean Shiminsky; and stepson, James Reedy.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses and caregivers for the kind and compassionate care shown to Carol.
Family and friends may pay their respects 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a 4 p.m. funeral service.
