Anthony G. Venneri Jr. 1939-2026
LIBERTY — Anthony G. Venneri Jr., 86, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026.
He was born July 5, 1939, in Leetonia, the son of Anthony and Mary Venneri.
He was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Anthony was employed with the Operating Engineers Local 66 and International Mill Service as a supervisor for 42 years until his retirement in 2002.
He was a devout Catholic and attended church at St. Rose.
He enjoyed playing slots, animal watching and nurturing, planting and maintaining a garden, and taking care of his chunky dog, Diesel.
Anthony will always be remembered lovingly by three children, Anthony G. Venneri III, William C. (Michele) Venneri and Stephen J. Venneri; five grandchildren, Anthony, William, Blade, Taylor and Cheyanne; and two great grandchildren, Alliyah and Alina.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Lou Venneri and Rose Bianconi; and his daughter, Vicky Venneri (Berk).
Family and friends may pay their respects 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anthony’s name to Animal Charities of Ohio, the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County or The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project.
