Yvonne H. Mudryk 1936-2026

NORTH JACKSON — Yvonne H. Mudryk, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Antonine Village in North Jackson.

Born July 31, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Marie Hopko Shuluga.

On June 1, 1963, Yvonne married the love of her life, Joseph Mudryk. The two shared almost 33 years of marriage until Joseph’s passing on April 12, 1995.

Yvonne dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a registered nurse. She proudly served at Northside Hospital in the maternity department and was employed with the American Red Cross, where she assisted with the blood drives as a phlebotomist.

A woman of many talents and a generous heart, Yvonne was a member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she often volunteered her time making pyrohy.

She could often be found tending to yard work and cooking and baking for those she loved. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially going out to lunch, and had a deep appreciation for nature. Above all, Yvonne cherished time spent with her family, whom she loved dearly.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Doug) Beedy of Akron; her sister, Stephanie Houpt of Edinburg, Pa.; her two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Mudryk; her brothers, Joseph Shuluga and Paul Shuluga; and her sister, Donna Donahue.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Youngstown, OH 44511.

A committal service will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
