William G. Burns 1942-2026

Born June 27, 1942, he married the love of his life, his wife, Janet Amelung in 1962; they spent every day together for the last 64 years.

Survivors include their children together, Eleanor Monk, Julie Burns, W. Rhett (Beth) Burns, J. Ryker (Dawn) Burns and Dakota (Haylee) Wagner; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh White officiating.

A time of visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, as well as the half hour prior to the service beginning at noon Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel.
