Timothy H. Ludt 1937-2026
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. — Timothy “Tim” Ludt, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 8, 1937, in Youngstown, to the late John C. Ludt Sr. and Ella Mae Horan Ludt.
A proud graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Tim held the Poland community close to his heart while also deeply cherishing nearly 35 years of retirement in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, where he had amazing friends and enjoyed an active and fulfilling life.
Tim was preceded in death by his four siblings, John C. Ludt Jr., Suzanne Ewald, Salley Aey and David Ludt.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Patricia Harkins Ludt; and their four children, Tammy (Mark) Zelenak, Timothy (Theresa) Ludt, Thomas Ludt and Ted Ludt. Tim was a proud grandfather to Justin (Amy) Wagner, Jordan (Andrea) Wagner, Kaitlyn Ludt, Ryan Ludt, Nicole Ludt and Bailey Ludt; and a cherished great-grandfather to Nora, Evan, Hazel, Owen and Colin Wagner.
Tim was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. He was deeply involved in his church, valued his close friendships and remained active throughout his life, especially enjoying tennis and golf. When not on the court or course, Tim could often be found working in the yard, watching the stock market or playing cards with family and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, Tim donated his body to science.
A small, private ceremony will be held later this year with close family to celebrate his remarkable life.
In Tim’s memory, donations may be made to the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University, 1 University Plaza, Youngstown, OH 44555.
