Pamela Bernhard 1960-2026

YOUNGSTOWN — Pamela Bernhard, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.

She was born April 7, 1960, in Youngstown, to parents Donald and Beverly Bernhard and was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area.

For over 20 years, Pam enjoyed making a career at Boardman Giant Eagle as a cashier. She had the perfect personality for the job, creating friendships with Giant Eagle customers and team members alike. Her silliness affected small children and adults equally. She was good at making people laugh and found so many ways to do it.

Pam enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles and playing games with her family. Any kind of dice, board or card game and she was at the table. Her favorites were Pinochle and Kismet; she just loved the family connection that came with playing games. She also spent time at the local casinos. Win or lose she was having a good time. Some of Pam’s other favorites were Elton John, Live with Kelly and Mark, SNL and Shark Tank, especially the episodes with her cutie, Mark Cuban.

She had a kind and generous heart. Even though she couldn’t have pets, Pam would often take supplies and make donations to Animal Charity. She also supported the local Mission.

Welcoming Pamela into heaven are her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Pamela and her hugs will be extremely missed by sisters, Denise Bernhard and Donna Ord; niece, Jennifer (Tyler) Olfers and their children Everly and Gibson. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend Jennette.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman.
