Orson L. Rundio 1946-2026
HUBBARD — Orson L. Rundio, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026.
Orson was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Columbus, a son of Joseph F. Rundio and Martha Wanena Ferris.
He was a supply house worker at the Vienna Air Base for several years.
Orson was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War, and for 17 years was a member of the Army National Guard. He also was a member of the VFW in Columbus.
He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family: his wife, the former Vivian M. Miller, whom he married July 30, 1999; his children, James Rundio of London, Orson (Deana) Rundio of Darbydale, Lori Rundio (Greg Ervin) of Columbus, Beth (William) Berry of South Bloomfield, Christopher (Heather) Rundio of Mount Sterling, Danielle Rundio of West Virginia, Heidi Rundio of Columbus, Stephanie (Kevin) Huddleston of Washington Courthouse, Martha (Kevin) O’Connor of Canal Winchester; and his stepchildren, Michael Ryser of Hubbard, Edward Ryser of Hubbard and Kristy (Eric) Metze of Rogers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Orson also leaves his siblings, Mary Ross of South Charleston, Joseph E. Rundio of Ashville, Melvina Adams of Grove City and Mildred Cook of Canal Winchester.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Corinne Schmitz of Columbus and Zachariah Rundio of Columbus.
There will be a memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, with calling hours 1 to 2 p.m., at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, 407 W. Liberty St., Hubbard, OH 44425.
Orson will be laid to rest in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
