MaryAnn Pecchio 1948-2026
CANFIELD — MaryAnn Pecchio, affectionately known as “Bleachie,” 77, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her family.
She was born Feb. 26, 1948, in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Pollice McQuillan.
MaryAnn was a proud graduate of Ursuline High School, Class of 1966. In her earlier years, she worked as a hairdresser before dedicating herself to her family as a devoted homemaker.
She found great joy in tending her yard and flowers, hosting holiday gatherings and preparing traditional Italian recipes that brought loved ones together around her table. She loved Sunday football and was an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren. She treasured watching them play sports, dance, participate in pageants and celebrate holidays, especially the Fourth of July. Nothing brought her more happiness than seeing them together and sharing in their accomplishments. MaryAnn also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She loved Dairy Queen pineapple milkshakes and never missed an episode of “Law & Order: SVU.” Those small traditions brought her comfort and joy.
Following the passing of her husband in 2020, MaryAnn made her home with her daughter, Carla, and son-in-law, Matthew Bowen, in Canfield, where she was lovingly cared for.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph “Joe” Catanzariti.
She is lovingly survived by her two daughters, Dawn Michelle (Jason) Roberts of Navarre and Carla (Matthew) Pecchio-Bowen of Canfield; her son, Rocco (Kari) Catanzariti of Boardman; her grandchildren, Madison, Morgan and Mason Bowen, Mia Sophia Roberts and Aria Catanzariti; her brother, Tom (Gina) McQuillan of Canfield; her niece, Jacquelyn (Will) Caban of New Market, Maryland; and her great-nieces, Melia and Eden Caban.
MaryAnn’s legacy of love, laughter and unwavering devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a funeral service at noon.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Hospice of the Valley and Windsor House at Canfield for the compassionate care, dignity and kindness shown to MaryAnn. Their support brought comfort to her and to her family during her final days.
Family and friends are encouraged to offer prayers for the family and support by visiting the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com.
